Beyoncé encourages people to vote in “Bodyguard” video “Beywatch.”

Beyoncé has finally released a music video from Cowboy Carter – well, sort of. On Election Day Tuesday, the singer released a new visual titled “Beywatch” and debuted an edit of the Cowboy Carter Track “Bodyguard”. In the video, Beyoncé, dressed in a number of Pamela Anderson’s most famous looks, encourages everyone to get out and vote.

As she dances to the track, Beyoncé dons a look of Anderson’s character from “Barb Wire,” wearing a black dress with a plunging neckline, knee-high boots and long fishnet gloves. There is also a brief shot of her “barb wire” gun being fired to show the word “Vote.”

And of course, she wore her own version of Anderson’s iconic red swimsuit – but instead of “Baywatch,” she wore the “Beywatch” singer’s red suit.

Her third appearance in the video was based on Anderson’s outfit from the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards, which included a giant pink fluffy hat, a white corset and sparkly leggings.

The video ends with “Happy Beylloween,” seemingly a reference to Halloween last week. The final shot shows white text on a black screen that says “Vote.”

The music video was the singer’s first in years. Beyoncé’s most recent videos are from her visual albums Black is king and the lemonade Film. Her last standalone solo music video was for “Formation” in 2015.

“Beywatch” comes after Beyoncé publicly supported Vice President Kamala Harris at the presidential candidate’s rally in Houston last month. “We are on the precipice of enormous change. I’m not here as a celebrity. I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” Beyoncé said on stage at the event. “A mother who cares about the world in which our children live, a world in which we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world in which we are not divided, neither our past nor our present nor our future .”

“We are all part of something much bigger. We have to vote and we need you,” she added. “Let’s do this. Ladies and gentlemen, please warmly welcome the next President of the United States, Kamala Harris, to Texas.”

And although she didn’t perform at the rally, her song “Freedom” has also been the soundtrack for much of the Harris-Walz ticket since this summer.
