How to Watch and Stream Election Night Results on NBC (November 5)

The 2024 presidential election is upon us, bringing with it not only a hard-fought battle for the White House, but also a host of Senate and House races and voting initiatives that matter across the country. With all eyes on former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris (and their respective running mates, Ohio Senator JD Vance and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz), Election Night 2024 is sure to be eventful. Here’s how to watch the latest coverage on NBC.

NBC will report the election results as soon as they are available on November 5, 2024

Beginning at 5:00 p.m. ET, NBC will broadcast live coast-to-coast with state-by-state election results and insightful analysis. Counting and certifying all the votes often takes hours and sometimes days, so NBC’s coverage lasts until 7 a.m. the next morning. A candidate must secure 270 electoral votes to win the Oval Office, with a collection of so-called “swing states” – commonly considered Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Nevada and Arizona – likely to provide the decisive margin for one or other candidates.

NBC will also broadcast any acceptance and concession speeches the candidates give after the race is called.
