Moses Lake man arrested for killing grandfather | Wenatchee Valley and NCW

MOSES LAKE – Police say a 27-year-old man murdered his grandfather and then buried his body in a shallow grave in the Cascade Valley area.

Isaiah Joshua Thomas

On Sunday, police arrested Isaiah Joshua Thomas, a former college athlete, at a home in Knolls Vista where he had lived with his grandfather, Richard Andrews, 75. Thomas is suspected of killing Andrews in the home and then attempting to dispose of his body near Stanley Drive Northeast.

Andrews’ cause of death has not been revealed. The Washington State Patrol crime lab was called to collect evidence at both locations. The operation is expected to end this evening.

Thomas remains held in the Grant County Jail. Moses Lake Police Captain Jeff Sursely said today that the case remains under investigation.
