The Giants wide receiver actually came up during a Steelers drive that ended with one Mike Williams Additionally, ESPN.com’s Jeremy Fowler noted that Pittsburgh has “taken a close look at New York’s sixth-year pass catcher.”

Slayton has shown that he is a major threat in the Big Apple and has helped the Giants after some of their previous WR plans fell through. We are in crisis for Big Blue regarding a Slayton trade or Azeez Ojulariwith the deadline expiring in less than two hours. Slayton is on a two-year, $12 million contract but is tied to a remaining salary of just under $1 million. Here’s the latest from the trading market:

  • The Ravens Also explored a trade for Marshon Lattimoreaccording to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. The Chiefs and Chargers teamed with the Commanders to draft the Pro Bowl cornerback, but a three-pick package sent him to Washington. Baltimore has Marlon Humphrey and used a first-round pick Nate Wiggins. However, Pro Football Focus has rated the borderline starter Brandon Stephens 95th overall at this position this season. Lattimore, despite his injury issues, would have been an improvement over Stephens in a position group led by Humphrey. Both Lattimore and Humphrey entered the NFL as first-round picks in 2017.
  • Although the Broncos Another deadline is likely to pass without dealing Sutton, some around the league wonder Javonte Williams‘Status. The fourth-year defenseman hasn’t looked quite the same since tearing his ACL and ACL in 2022, although he did score points for this year’s 5-4 team. However, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, executives are wondering about the possibility of trading Williams as Denver plans to trade away a rookie Audric Estime a greater workload. However, Estime fumbled twice – despite only logging 15 transfers. Williams also lost two fumbles, and given his form since the injury and signing Estime through 2027, teams could be in contention with the Broncos regarding their RB in the contract year.
  • Rodney McLeod don’t want to be part of one Tan Exodus. McLeod announced before the season that he planned to retire, saying (via Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com) that he did not want to be left off the 2-7 team’s roster. “I’m riding with this team,” McLeod said. “I’m on board. I don’t plan on running.” The Browns took action Amari Cooper And Za’Darius Smith and cut Quinton Jefferson. They may be done for today, however, as Fowler added that discussions about other players had not resulted in a deal.
