Apple News lets you view election results on your lock screen

For those obsessively following the US election results, Apple News provides live updates to iPhone and iPad users’ lock screens. And if you have a recent iPhone, you can keep an eye on the election count right in Dynamic Island while you do other things on your phone.

To receive the updates on your lock screen, you must first register. Open Apple News and tap the “Watch the 2024 Elections Live” banner. If you don’t see the option right away, look for “Election 2024” in the “Special Coverage” section of the menu. You should receive a notification that live activity has been activated.

The widget will be available on iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches starting tonight when votes are counted in the US presidential and congressional elections. AppleInsider Reports. It shows the voting numbers of Donald Trump and Kamala Harris as well as the results of the Senate and House elections.
