K-9 troopers comb election office in Pennsylvania after reported bomb threat

It is now confirmed that York County is one of the many Pennsylvania counties hit by bomb threats on election night.

According to a district spokesman, a bomb threat was reported at the election and voter registration office on Tuesday around 7:15 p.m

The spokesman said district officials worked quickly to resolve the issue, had authorities and K-9s search the entire building and ultimately concluded the threat was not credible.

It was one of many threats reported across the state, as there were similar threats in Center, Clearfield and Luzerne counties.

The county said the threat did not hinder election operations in any way.

County officials are working closely with the attorney general and district attorney to investigate where the threat came from.

WHP checked with other county offices and so far Lancaster, Dauphin and Cumberland counties say no bomb threats have been reported.

WHP is still waiting for a response from Franklin County and Adams Counties.
