Three teenagers were killed in a shooting in the laundry room of the Tierra Del Sol Apartments on Cook Road in the Alief area, according to Houston police

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after three teenagers were killed in a shooting in southwest Houston on Tuesday.

According to Houston police, the shooting occurred at the Tierra Del Sol Apartments on Crook Road around 6:45 p.m

When officers arrived, they checked the complex’s laundry room and found three people shot.

Two teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene and a third was taken to hospital where he died.

Asst. Chief Alvaro Guzman said the two teenagers who died at the scene were in the laundry room when a group of three people got into an argument with them, leading to a shootout.

The third teenager who died in hospital is believed to have been part of the group.

Guzman said everyone involved was believed to be teenagers and they were looking for two people of interest. HPD said there is no danger to the public.

Eyewitness News spoke with a man who said he heard gunshots before he went to church.

“I heard the shot. He was so loud. When I heard it I thought, ‘Oh, what is that? Maybe (because it’s) election day, it’s just a celebration.’ I turned off the lights and tried to see what was going on,” the man told ABC13.
