A crash in Kearney County left one dead

MIND, Neb. (KSNB) – A fatal crash left a man dead Tuesday morning in Kearney County.

In a news release, the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office said the two-vehicle crash was reported at 10:18 a.m. at the intersection of County Road B and County Road 23, about two miles east of Wilcox.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney with serious injuries. A male passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Nebraska State Patrol, the Kearney County Sheriff and the Kearney County District Attorney are investigating the crash.

The sheriff’s office said the drivers and the victim were adults, but did not provide further information about their identities or the circumstances of the crash.

A sheriff’s spokesman said more information would be released once families have been notified and the investigation is complete.

Firefighters from Wilcox and Hildreth, Good Samaritan EMS and the Kearney County Roads Department were called to the scene Tuesday morning.
