Bryson DeChambeau shares the US Open trophy with SMU students during the match

Bryson DeChambeau was able to celebrate two wins this weekend.

The two-time major champion returned to his alma mater, SMU, and watched the Mustangs defeat undefeated Pitt 48-25.

And DeChambeau brought some hardware with him – the US Open trophy. In the second quarter, the 31-year-old was caught on cameras raising the ball in the student section.

DeChambeau, who won his second U.S. Open at No. 2 at Pinehurst in June, won the NCAA Division I individual championship in 2015 – the only SMU golfer to accomplish the feat. He also won the US Amateur Championship later that year.

On Saturday night, SMU moved one step closer to its goal of bringing another national title back to University Park. With the win over Pitt, the Mustangs improved to 7-1, jumped from No. 20 to No. 13 in the AP poll and may be on their way to securing a spot in the College Football Playoff.
