Couple arrested on meth charges after domestic violence incident in Holton

HOLTON, Kan. (WIBW) – A man and woman were arrested for methamphetamine possession following a domestic incident last Saturday in Holton, officials announced.

Those arrested were William Daniel Collins, 39, of Holton, and Samantha Leighanne Gresham, 33, of Morrill.

Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse said the arrests came after a report of a domestic violence incident around 4 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Vermont Avenue in Holton.

Morse said Jackson County sheriff’s deputies and Holton police officers responded to the incident.

During the investigation, Morse said, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for the residence.

Collins and Gresham were then arrested, Morse said.

Collins was booked into the Jackson County Jail in Holton on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic violence.

Gresham was booked into the Jackson County Jail in connection with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
