Argentine police are conducting a new round of raids in the investigation into Liam Payne’s death

Police in Argentina are continuing their investigations Liam Payne‘s death … to conduct another round of raids on the homes of two hotel workers and a “friend” of the former One Direction singer, TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources in Buenos Aires tell TMZ … officers conducted the raids Tuesday evening, simultaneously searching workers’ hotel lockers and reviewing security footage from the Hotel CasaSur Palermo.

We’re told police believe the workers had contact with Liam before the entertainer crashed until his death from the balcony of his third-floor room into a courtyard.

According to our sources, investigators identified Liam’s “friend” using text messages on his cell phone, which police examined to find out who sold him drugs.

However, we’re told investigators didn’t find the “friend” at his home during Tuesday’s raid.

You may remember… At the end of October, police conducted the first wave of raids on CasaSur, Seizure of electronic and paper records and videos of the hotel’s underground area, according to our sources.

Sources also told us that initial autopsy results revealed Liam had “pink cocaine” in his system, a dangerous cocktail that typically combines meth, ecstasy and ketamine, as well as other narcotics.

Photos taken in Liam’s room showed white powder scattered on a table with burnt aluminum foil and other paraphernalia.

So far, police have not arrested or charged anyone in the case… but it looks like they are heading in that direction.
