Small plane crashes into car in Mesa, Arizona, killing five people

Five people were killed when a small plane crashed into a vehicle after taking off from an airport near Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The Honda HA-420 light business jet crashed while taking off from Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, police there said in a statement.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the jet struck the vehicle outside the airport property at 4:40 p.m.

Video footage shows the small wreckage of the plane engulfed in flames as firefighters work to put out the flames.
