Emergency vehicles blocked the road and traffic near the airport was paralyzed for hours. Flames and smoke could be seen in the area.

On Wednesday morning, police said in a post to X that Greenfield was expected to remain closed in both directions from McKellips to McDowell for most of the day. All other traffic was open.

According to police, if people work in a restricted area, they will be allowed access to their workplace.
