An emergency medical intervention in the stands overshadowed FC Bayern Munich’s Champions League game against Benfica Lisbon. Due to a medical emergency right at the start of the game, the fans of the German soccer record champions stopped cheering. They didn’t take them up even after the break.

The emergency doctor was deployed in second place near the south curve. Numerous rescue workers were in the stands dealing with the emergency. Stewards held up an airplane to protect the person from view of other spectators. According to initial unconfirmed information, the person was resuscitated. After about half an hour of play, she was taken away.
