Truffle Week at Oak & Reel: White truffle season has begun at chef Jared Gadbaw’s Detroit restaurant Oak & Reel. Kicking off on Thursday (November 7) is a special dinner featuring white truffles and Barolo wines for $280 per person. Grand Opening at Kinton Ramen: Windsor, Ontario, has the region’s first location of Kinton Ramen, a Japanese restaurant franchise with locations in New York, Chicago, Montreal and Toronto. The ramen restaurant is currently in the soft opening phase, with a grand opening party planned for Saturday. Dinner with Alsatian wine at Bar Pigalle: Enjoy a special menu paired with wine pairings from this famous region of France without leaving Detroit. Tequila Launch Party at Shankar Distillers: This Troy craft distillery is releasing a new spirit: 900 Grados Tequila. The tequila is available in Blanco, Reposado and Añejo varieties and complements Shankar’s offering of bourbon, gin and vodka. Annual CN Holiday Train Party at Carbon Athletic Club: This private club opens to the public on November 25th for its annual Christmas party and fundraiser to coincide with the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. New fall menu at Hamilton’s: Hamilton’s, located on the ground floor of the Godfrey Hotel in Corktown, has launched a new fall menu. Le Suprême adds Coravin program: Adding to its already impressive wine program, French restaurant Le Suprême in Detroit’s Book Tower has introduced the Coravin program, which allows wine to be poured from a bottle without opening it.
