Stephen A. Smith calls out Kamala Harris’ campaign for celebrity support

If there’s one thing Stephen A Smith knows, it’s people.

The ESPN commentator has been around long enough to get a glimpse of the media’s elite, but he’s also made a career out of knowing what people want to hear. And when Smith heard celebrity endorsements during Kamala Harris’ campaign, he called BS.

On a Wednesday episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, In response to Donald Trump’s victory as president, Smith criticized prominent figures such as Oprah Winfrey and former first lady Michelle Obama for “alienating” ordinary people by trying to “guilt” them and make them vote Harris to vote.

“Ultimately, celebrities who are worth hundreds of millions, if not billions, and who most American citizens believe to be incredibly disconnected from their way of life and their quality of life, would not be able to get away with guilt-tripping them into doing anything other than. “What their experience says is going on and what they should do about it,” Smith said.

After playing a clip in which Winfrey urged the audience to vote while warning them that it could be their last chance if Trump wins, Smith criticized the daily talk legend for trying to insult Americans or them To scare them into becoming politically active.

“This is the type of thing that alienates an electorate, alienates a voter,” Smith said. “Because the freedom that you tell them you have, you try to morally confiscate by letting them know that if you don’t vote the way we say you should vote, you’re worthless. Who will campaign for this in a general election? In an economy rife with inflation and with over 12 million people crossing the border…the value of their dollars is disappearing before our eyes.”

Smith also criticized the way the Democratic Party targeted men in this election.

The First recording The host played a clip of the former first lady telling men of color that electing Trump was a vote against “us.” For Smith, the message had a similar tone to Winfrey’s.

“If we don’t agree with you, we’re against you?” Smith questioned. “How do you think the men felt about this? So we have to do what you tell us; Otherwise we are against you? You thought that worked? Do you know anything about most men? Do you think this will work?”

Everyone has their own opinion about why Trump won, but perhaps more people should listen to Stephen A. Smith when it comes to what catches the attention of the average American. Smith leans left and picks Harris as the winner, but her surrogates in the campaign leave Smith cold.

And Smith maintained throughout the campaign that celebrity endorsements on both sides were useless. He previously mocked former NFL quarterback Brett Favre for speaking out in favor of Trump.
