PAGASA: Marce lands for the second time via Sanchez-Mira, Cagayan

PAGASA said Typhoon Marce made landfall over Sanchez-Mira, Cagayan for the second time.

The second landfall was recorded on Thursday evening at 9:00 p.m.

According to PAGASA’s cyclone bulletin as of 8:00 p.m., Marce was last seen over the coastal waters of Aparri, Cagayan, with maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h and gusts of up to 240 km/h.

The northern part of Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, the northern part of Apayao and the northern part of Ilocos Norte were placed under Signal No. 4, while several areas were warned of a high-risk storm surge over the next 48 hours.

Typhoon Marce will most likely remain a typhoon throughout its movement in the Philippine area of ​​responsibility and will begin to weaken within the next 12 to 24 hours.
