After “Agatha All Along” news about the release date of the “Vision” series

Unfortunately, there is only one week left of Agatha All Along, a double-episode finale that will conclude the miniseries, and there are no plans for a second season despite how popular the series has become. However, this corner of the MCU isn’t going anywhere, and the next series that will tackle characters from the WandaVision era is an upcoming Vision show that used to be called VisionQuest, but now it doesn’t appear to have a title.

According to Paul Bettany, we may now have a release date. He says filming for the series will begin in 2025. For reference, WandaVision began filming in November 2019 and was released in January 2021, just over a year later. As such, it’s almost certain that we’re looking at a 2026 release date amidst the next six MCU films, although whether that’s early or late in the year will depend on the actual release date. If Bettany doesn’t say it’s imminent, it’s probably later in the year.

Bettany also had high praise for Agatha All Along:

“I love it. I love it and I’m so proud of Jac Schaeffer and I’m going to watch it again because there’s so much for me to learn as I continue my post,” Bettany said.

The connection, of course, is that his wife Wanda’s body was (supposedly) found at the beginning of his show, and in the series his son Billy tries to find his brother Tommy via the Witches Road.

As for Vision, he was first dissected by SWORD after Thanos killed him, but was then…recreated by Wanda in Westview and existed as “White Vision” after the events of this series. We really have no idea of his status at the moment, although Agatha points out that he was taken apart by the government. Again? Unclear. The point is, we don’t know exactly what he’s doing after WandaVision, the last time we saw him. He did not appear in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness during Wanda’s rampage that ultimately led to her death.

All of this revolves around the idea that Wanda will eventually be resurrected and return to the MCU. Rumor has it that she will play a major role in the upcoming Avengers films, considering her role in the Doctor Doom story, and then also in X-Men, the next phase of the MCU. One theory was that Billy would revive her at the end of The Witches Road, but that doesn’t seem to be happening and series showrunner Jac Schaeffer says it won’t end up being about big cameos or anything like that. But that doesn’t mean Wanda won’t come back to life at another time somewhere else. In the Vision series? Who knows, but I’m definitely looking forward to it.
