According to the National Weather Service, Dallas, Tarrant and Collin counties and several others in North Texas are no longer under a tornado watch.

The National Weather Service issued the tornado warning as severe thunderstorms, several showers and a cold front are forecast for the area during the day and evening.

What is the difference between a tornado warning and a tornado warning?

D-FW Weather wise

From snow to 100 degree heat, you’ve come to the right place.

“The primary hazard from this activity will be 1-inch hail, damaging winds and a single tornado,” an NWS-Fort Worth warning said.

Heavy rain could lead to flooding, particularly in the northwest, the warning warned. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, with isolated amounts of up to 3 inches.

Wet conditions are only expected to last through Friday, with the cold front expected to “end the chance of storms from west to east this evening into the overnight hours,” the warning said.
