A $1 million Mega Millions winning ticket was sold in Michigan for the 11/5/24 drawing

LANSING, MI – A lucky Michigan lottery player won a $1 million prize in the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The winner matched all five white numbers drawn – 2-24-25-52-58 – to win the $1 million prize.

The winning ticket was sold at Wayne Med Mart, 417 S. Wayne Rd, Westland.

The winner now has one year from the drawing date to come forward and claim the prize. The winner is asked to contact the Michigan Lottery Player Relations Division at 1-844-917-6325 to schedule an appointment to claim the funds. Prize must be picked up at Lottery headquarters in Lansing.

The last Michigan player to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot was lottery club Breakfast Club, which won an $842 million jackpot in June 2024. The members plan to use the money to buy a home in Florida and travel.

And even though they were lucky winners, it’s smart for players to check their tickets immediately because a $1 million Mega Millions winner sold in Southfield in 2023 went unclaimed. The money instead went to the state’s school aid fund.
