ACC analyst gives his picks for Clemson vs. Virginia Tech

This ACC analyst gave his pick for today’s game between No. 23 Clemson (6-2, 5-1 ACC) and Virginia Tech (5-4, 3-2).

On Friday ACC PM On the show, ACC Network host Mark Packer offered some thoughts on the game and how he sees it.

The Tigers are six-point favorites heading into the game at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The game starts at 3:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN.

Packer — who graduated from Clemson, where he was a member of the golf team — picked the Tigers to beat the Hokies.

Here’s what Packer had to say in his prediction:

“Both last week, off the cliff. Virginia Tech can’t win close ones. Clemson’s defense last, fast asleep. Your special teams are fast asleep. Dabo played great against the Hokies, 6-0 overall. Personally, I paid too much money to the school because two daughters also graduated there. My wife is a Hokie so that will be a problem even when I get home. But I’m going to play Clemson in a close game, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it goes the other way.”
