A married couple stabbed, shot and ultimately killed each other in a horrific argument in their Washington state home last week while their 11-year-old son played video games in another room.

The boy was wearing earbuds when his parents “attacked each other” on Halloween, officials said.

He didn’t realize what was happening until he found their bodies.

Investigators cannot say who was the main perpetrator in the Oct. 31 deaths in Longview, a city on the Washington side of the Columbia River about 50 miles east of Portland, Oregon.

The victims were identified as Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz, 38, and Cecilia Robles Ochoa, 39.

Alvarado Saenz died from multiple stab wounds to the chest, according to police, while Robles Ochoa was stabbed and shot, the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office said.

The boy called 911 after finding his parents covered in blood on the kitchen floor.

He was the only other person in the house at the time.

Paramedics tried but were unable to revive the couple.

Investigators have since learned that Alvarado Saenz and Robles Ochoa “were having relationship problems and were planning to separate,” the sheriff’s office said.

A knife and a gun were recovered at the scene.

The sheriff said the firearm used in the incident was “proven to have been stolen from Alvarado Saenz’s employer and was only discovered missing after this incident.”
