ZA Starters Leak offers a surprise

Pokemon Legends: ZA starters have been leaked, but there’s a surprise Pokemon fans weren’t expecting. The leak comes from Riddler Khu, a very well-known and reliable Pokemon leaker. On the social media platform

Within this key art there are three starters, more specifically the Pokemon X and Y starters: Chespin, Froakie, Fennekin. At the time, many assumed that their appearance in this key art all but confirmed that they would be the starters in the big Pokemon release of 2025, Pokemon Legends: ZA. There was no guarantee of that, however, as there have been key arts at the Pokémon World Championships in the past that were unrelated to the starters for this year’s game.

Fast forward and Riddler Khu has dispelled that doubt, but added an interesting new wrinkle. They tweeted the main art leak and posted “Say hello to Ikkaku.” For those who don’t know, Ikkaku is the leaked codename for Pokemon Legends: ZA. In other words, this seems like pretty obvious confirmation that Chespin, Froakie, and Fennekin are indeed the starters.

Additionally, Riddler Khu notes, “Don’t worry, something is different,” suggesting that there is something new in the starters that isn’t simply copied from Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. This could probably be an indication of new forms or new developments perhaps, but that is just speculation. Unfortunately, this is the extent of the joke.

Of course, what is written here should be viewed with caution. Although Riddler Khu has proven to be quite reliable, there is no way to validate this new information, which is also riddled with speculation.

At the time of publication, Game Freak and Nintendo have not yet commented on this new leak and the speculation it has sparked.
