Man, 66, killed in fight in Little Italy neighborhood

CHICAGO (CBS) — A 66-year-old man was killed Friday evening in a fight with another man on the city’s Near West Side.

It happened in the 1300 block of West 13th Street in the Little Italy neighborhood around 11:13 p.m.

Chicago police said the victim was involved in a fight at an apartment building with a 34-year-old man who struck the 66-year-old in the face with his clenched fist, causing the victim to fall to the ground and become unresponsive .

Firefighters arrived on scene to treat the victim, who was then transported to UIC Hospital, where he died.

The 34-year-old was arrested and no injuries were reported.
