Ella Emhoff denies accusations that she is losing her mind because her stepmother lost the presidency

Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, used Instagram to clear her name after her stepmother lost to President-elect Donald Trump.

Emhoff was photographed sobbing while Harris gave her concession speech at her alma mater, Howard University, on Wednesday.

A day later, Emhoff reposted one of the photos in her post, addressing the images with a caption explaining her emotional outburst.

“Really no words. We will all get through this. It’s easy.” [f—ing] hurts like a [b—-] right now and that’s okay,” the post reads.

Emhoff assured her followers that she was not having a nervous breakdown to clear up rumors that she had checked into an asylum following the election results.

“There’s a rumor that I’m having a nervous breakdown and being hospitalized. That is not true. Fuck if you’re out there spreading this. There is nothing wrong with showing emotions and crying. Anyone who says that probably needs a good cry,” Emhoff said in an Instagram post.
