A semi-truck accident closes southbound I-25 in Castle Rock

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. – A traffic accident involving three semi-trucks closed southbound Interstate 25 early Sunday morning.

The incident was reported around 5:48 a.m

“Originally the call came in involving two rolled semi-trucks, a third semi-truck and possibly another vehicle,” said Trooper Gabriel Moltrer, Colorado State Patrol Public Information Officer.

One of the tractor-trailers was a car transporter and it was unclear whether any vehicles came down in the accident, Molter said.

No injuries were reported

The southbound lanes of the interstate were closed at Happy Canyon Road.

The accident also blocked the exit to Castle Rock Parkway.
