Two dead in Brown County crash

ABERDEEN, SD (Dakota News Now) – Two Aberdeen men died in a rollover accident early Saturday morning.

According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, the accident occurred eight miles northeast of Aberdeen around 1:22 a.m.

A 37-year-old driver and a 36-year-old passenger were traveling westbound on Brown County 13 near the intersection of 393rd Avenue in a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander.

The vehicle left the road, went into the ditch and then jumped off the shoulder at the intersection. The vehicle rolled and both occupants were thrown out.

Both suffered fatal injuries. None of the occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

The names of those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.

All information released so far is only preliminary.
