Barbie and beyond

Given her love for True romanceIt’s entirely fitting that Robbie gets the chance to team up with Tarantino 26 years later Once upon a time… in Hollywood. Two reprisals against Harley Quinn followed in as many years, but – at least at this point – Barbie remains Robbie’s most iconic and best-known project. The film was nominated for eight Academy Awards, although some, like Robert Downey Jr., believe it deserves even more recognition.

“It never ceases to impress and remind me how little you have to do to be effective,” RDJ said in February 2024. “Just the simplest version of the expression, that’s what the camera wants. The whole film depends on that.” But it’s the cuts in which Robbie is listening so actively that it becomes clear to me that Greta is really on to something here. But it was Robbie who had to trust, and it’s hard when someone who has this crappy two-page passage says, “OK, now let’s get in and get Bob,” and you’re like, “I’ve got this.” I did I’ve been listening to this all day and now I have to make it work.’”

Robbie has actually earned her flowers for an impressive filmography that includes working with some of Hollywood’s biggest names. More than that, she deserves recognition for drawing inspiration from some of these Hollywood stars’ best projects, such as True romanceon her own path that made her one of the most influential actresses in modern cinema.
