The New York Jets appeared poised for a potential midseason turnaround after last week’s win over the Houston Texans ended a five-game losing streak.

After a 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, they are now back on the losing list.

Any momentum the Jets had after the big win over Houston evaporated in one of their worst offensive performances of the season. Aaron Rodgers completed 22 of his 35 passes for just 151 yards and no touchdowns. He also turned the ball over with a fumble. New York also couldn’t get much going on the ground, as Breece Hall and Baelon Allen combined for just 79 rushing yards.

The Jets’ only points came on two field goals by Spencer Shrader.

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was electric in the win, completing 22 of his 24 passes for 266 yards and a touchdown. He also scored two touchdowns on the ground.

After the game, NFL fans cheered on Rodgers and the Jets for the pathetic performance.

An unrivaled, dubious first half #Jetswho let the Cardinals’ offense score on all four drives, missed about 100 tackles, committed several penalties and didn’t have much skill on offense. Luckily I’m only 18 years old (it’s never good that you…

There is no longer a “decision” for it #Jets make.
New GM. New staff. New QB.
No question.
Let a new regime be built around some promising young offensive players (Hall/Allen, GW, AVT, Tippmann, Simpson).
If they find the right QB/coach it shouldn’t be a complete rebuild.…

There was some hope for the Jets when they brought in star receiver Davante Adams and a little more confidence after last week’s win over Houston. New York proved on Sunday that it is still a long way from being a playoff contender, and it appears there isn’t much else the Jets can do to improve in time to make a push for the playoffs at this point to make season.
