Jaylen Brown calls Giannis Antetokounmpo a child

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jaylen Brown were involved in an altercation near the end of the Boston Celtics’ 113-107 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Brown tried to spin for a layup when he was covered by Antetokounmpo. Giannis managed to elbow Brown in the head, earning an offensive foul. Then both Giannis and Brown began wailing and jogging around the court.
Giannis apologized for an elbow to the running back on defense, but pulled it back and hit the Celtics star with a “too slow” gesture and a grin from ear to ear. Brown was asked about the incident after the game and he didn’t seem to find the situation very humorous. “Giannis is a child. I’m just focused on helping my team win. And we did that tonight,” Brown said.
Giannis offered a different perspective on the postgame exchange compared to Brown. “Oh, he said that? Damn,” Antetokounmpo said, seemingly surprised by Brown’s serious reaction. “We always joke about the flow of the game. This is something I do with my kids, I play around. It’s me. I play the game with fun and joy.”
Boston got to 9-2, but the Bucks were 2-8 after falling behind 11-0 at halftime. Antetokounmpo scored 43 points, with 13 boards and five assists, but Milwaukee couldn’t overcome an 8-2 deficit.
