Here are Apple’s big plans for new iPhone, iPad, Mac and Watch models

Apple is constantly working on new products, including iterations of its current lineup of devices like the iPhone and more. In his recent newsletter, Mark Gurman laid out Apple’s big plans for its existing devices. Here’s what the future iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch models will offer.

Gurman’s latest Turn on The newsletter focuses primarily on Apple’s efforts to build more successful companies to drive future growth. For example, he mentions household products and data glasses as areas in which Apple is investing.

He then turns to some of Apple’s most important current products and plans for their future.

Gurman writes:

In the short term, Apple will focus on incremental improvements to its existing products. That means making Macs with faster chips, thinner designs and touchscreens. Its iPads are becoming more versatile, with larger displays and foldable models. Apple Watches get blood pressure and glucose monitoring. And the company will try to make its iPhones even more essential with new designs, cameras and AI features.

Many of these details have been shared by Gurman before, but the reiteration now raises good expectations for near-term improvements to some of Apple’s most widely used products.

And there is a lot to discover.

We don’t know the details of the models or release dates for these changes, but they give us a glimpse of the next big things in the works.

Summary and conclusion

In summary, here’s what we can look forward to from Apple:

  • iPhone: New designs (like the 17 Air) as well as cameras and AI features
  • iPad: Larger displays and foldable devices
  • Mac: Touchscreens, thinner designs, faster chips
  • Apple Watch: New health sensors for blood pressure and glucose

It sounds like the most radical changes are coming to the Mac and iPad. Adding touch capabilities to the Mac will be a significant change for Apple, as will larger, foldable iPads.

With the iPhone and Apple Watch, the changes sound great, but they’re largely consistent with the direction Apple has already taken.
