Seahawks sign CB Josh Jobe from practice squad; Linebacker Tyrel Dodson waived

With Dodson gone, the likely candidates to start alongside Jones would be rookies Tyrice Knightwho started two games earlier in the season in place of an injured player Jerome Bakeror Drake Thomaswho also played on defense and also made an important contribution on special teams.

In nine games, Dodson recorded 71 tackles, 2.0 sacks and five tackles for a loss.

Jobe, who was signed to the practice squad at the end of August, has been called up for each of the last three games and played an important role in all three games. With injuries taking their toll at cornerback, Jobe started Seattle’s Week 7 win at Atlanta and played well enough in that game to continue to get playing time in each of the final two games. Although Jobe wasn’t technically a starter the last two weeks, he played 100 defensive snaps and entered the game as the third corner in nickel packages to play outside corner alongside his fellow starter Riq Woolenwith Devon Witherspoon slide inwards to the nickel spot. In his three games, Jobe has 17 tackles, four passes defensed and his first career interception.

Harry, a first-round receiver out of Arizona State in 2019, appeared in 49 games with 18 starts over five seasons and recorded 64 receptions for 714 yards and five touchdowns.
