Rams react to results: Rams show fans they can be the best in the West

The Los Angeles Rams are on a three-game winning streak that got them into the playoffs and has fans believing in the team more than they have all season. According to our poll, fans overwhelmingly believe LA is on the right track: 95% approve of what the team is doing right now.

It’s the highest score of the season, a stark contrast to just a few weeks ago when confidence in the team’s direction stood at just 30%. At the time of this article, the Rams enter Sunday’s game as slight favorites at -1.5 FanDuel.

The Rams picked up their second division win of the year last week against the Seattle Seahawks. With the win, fans increasingly feel that the Rams have become real contenders for the title.

At 4-4, Los Angeles is now in second place within the NFC West, just one game behind the leading Arizona Cardinals. Those same Cardinals will play their second matchup of the year in Week 17 in LA, and it looks like this meeting could have a significant impact on who will win the division.

According to our poll, 76% of fans believe the Rams will win the NFC West before the end of the season. LA needs to continue its winning ways as a division title appears to be the easiest path to a playoff spot.

With the NFC North so strong this season, there is a realistic chance that three teams from this division alone will make it to the postseason. A wild card spot could very well require 10+ wins in the NFC to beat teams like the Minnesota Vikings or Green Bay Packers, both of which trail the north-leading Detroit Lions.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders are separated by just one game in the East, and the Bucs are keeping it close with the South-leading Falcons. That’s not to say the Rams can’t get a wild card spot, but they’ve already proven they can beat two out of three other teams in the West. Their track record under Sean McVay suggests that the loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 could also be an anomaly.

The Rams will welcome the Miami Dolphins to Sofi Stadium this week for a nationally televised Monday Night Football game. It will also mark the return of former Rams Super Bowl champion Jalen Ramsey, who was traded to the Dolphins last offseason due to a pay cut. Los Angeles is hoping for another win while keeping an eye on the Cardinals-Jets results.
