Saks Fifth Avenue will not host its annual holiday light show this year, according to a store spokesperson

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) – According to Saks Fifth Avenue, its New York City flagship store will not host its annual holiday light show this year.

According to a statement, a spokesperson said the light show will not take place due to “changes in the approach to the holiday windows” marking the flagship’s 100th anniversary.

The store’s Christmas windows will be on display later this month.

“In our 100th year, which also marks the flagship’s anniversary, we celebrate the season by honoring the architectural significance of this iconic building, elegantly illuminating the façade and framing the holiday windows, and highlighting the fashion that Saks Fifth represents.” Avenue is well known. Saks holiday windows will be on display beginning in late November,” the statement reads in part.

The “Gift of Delight” holiday campaign features pieces from the top names in luxury contrasted with colorful snowflake garments, dichroic vinyl and silver harlequin floor coverings in the shop windows.

The store said the facade would be illuminated with a light display and magical melodies would be played throughout the holiday season.
