After fight with Mike Tyson, Jake Paul sees an “even bigger” fight against the boxing legend

Jake Paul fights Mike Tyson this Friday, November 15th. ‘The Worry Child’ insists he is the ‘face of boxing’ and plans to reach even greater heights when he beats ‘Iron’ Mike in Texas.

The controversial influencer boxer recently caused a stir during an appearance on Sean O’Malley’s YouTube podcast as he prepared a speech for one of boxing’s biggest and biggest stars, Canelo Alvarez.

6’3″ Paul wants to challenge perennial middleweight (167 lbs) Canelo, 6’2″ tall, for a cruiserweight (200 lbs) title fight…

“This moment will prove that I am the face of boxing, the biggest attraction,” Paul explained. “Me vs. Canelo at 200 pounds for the cruiserweight championship of the world is the biggest fight – probably even bigger than me vs. Tyson.”

“…Canelo is on his way out and he’s going to want a payday and I want to show the world that all the shit I’ve been talking about beating Canelo is actually true…”

It’s not just about who wins. Paul compared his and Canelo’s social media reach as well as their fight earnings.

“…I beat his gate record in Texas,” Paul continued. “I beat ticket sales and all that stuff.”

Canelo’s last fight in Arlington, Texas was against Billy Joe Saunders in 2021. The event generated admission revenue of just over $9 million with over 66,000 tickets sold. Paul-Tyson didn’t exist yet, but as of this article there were still hundreds of tickets for sale at just $56 per person.
