Shane Gillis announces 2025 global comedy tour

After a sold-out eight-city arena tour this year, comedian Shane Gillis is hitting the road again.

The stand-up megastar will ring in the new year with “Shane Gillis Live,” a 27-city tour that begins Jan. 10 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. Marking his largest tour to date, Gillis will visit some of the biggest venues in North America and Europe, including the American Airlines Center in Dallas and the O2 in London.

Gillis’ tour, in association with Outback Presents, includes stops at arenas such as Amalie Arena in Tampa and 3Arena in Dublin. The shows follow Gillis’ Netflix special Beautiful Dogs, which charted in Netflix’s top 10 in five countries and spent two weeks in the U.S. top 10 list. Gillis also hosted “Saturday Night Live” in February.

The comedian was famously hired by “Saturday Night Live” in 2019 and then fired after offensive jokes he previously made on a podcast resurfaced online. But he remained in touch with “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels, who revealed in an interview with The Wall Street Journal last month that he was “furious” about NBC’s decision to fire Gillis. Michaels brought Gillis back to “SNL” to host Season 49.

Since making that career move, the Pennsylvania native has become a force in the stand-up arena. His self-financed debut, Shane Gillis: Live in Austin, became a breakout hit for Netflix with more than 30 million views. His 2023 Netflix follow-up, Beautiful Dogs, was produced by All Things Comedy and Gillis’ production company Dad Sick Productions, which he runs with his longtime comedy partner and fellow Philadelphia native John McKeever.

Gillis also stars in the Netflix comedy series Tires, which Gillis co-created with McKeever. He is currently working on the second season and continues to co-host “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast” with comedian Matt McCusker. With more than 500 million downloads per month, the show is the world’s leading Patreon podcast.

Gillis is represented by CAA, Range Media and the law firm of Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
