Alabama Winter Weather Awareness Week is November 10-15! NOAA released its U.S. winter outlook on October 17, prepared by the Climate Prediction Center. A developing La Nina pattern is expected to dominate the upcoming winter across the country. This outlook applies to the period December 2024 to February 2025.

Drier and warmer than normal weather is generally expected across the southeastern United States. This is not good news as we continue to see worsening drought conditions across the state.
