Karl-Anthony Towns of the Knicks shoots free throws after the monster night

Even after a game in which Karl-Anthony Towns scored a season-high 46 points, the Knicks star was on the court working on his free throws after the heartbreaking 124-123 loss to the Bulls.

Towns continued his stellar start to the season with the win against Chicago, grabbing 10 rebounds and shooting 18-for-30 from the field on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

However, he missed four of his eight shots from the charity jersey.

That seemed to be enough for Towns to feel the need to work on his free throws after the loss, and he was still seen on the field in full uniform long after the teams had cleared the field and fans had left the stadium door.

While MSG reporter Monica McNutt stood courtside during the postgame show, Towns was seen with a Knicks employee shooting foul shots while arena employees performed their duties in the background and an arena security guard stood guard.

Towns also finished the game with three assists and three steals.

“I expect to make them all,” Towns said after the game about his missed free throws. When you look back on the game, especially when you don’t come out on top in a tough game like this, you see in the mirror everything you could have done.

“If I make a few of those free throws, at least two or three, you put your team in a different position.”

But his decision to continue working on his game even after scoring 46 points impressed many Knicks fans online, who praised the offseason acquisition for his commitment.

“I would legitimately die for Karl Anthony-Towns. He is already the best player on the team. “Playing in the Knicks jersey means something to him,” one person wrote on X.

“Remember when New Yorkers asked if Karl-Anthony Towns was built for the city? Who else did that after the game?” someone else wrote.

“Karl Anthony Towns is still on the MSG court shooting free throws. This is what you like to see from your superstar player,” a third user wrote.
