Watch Giannis Antetokounmpo score 59 points, the Bucks survive a wild finish, reach overtime and beat the Pistons

Milwaukee needs wins now, whatever it takes to get them.

What it took Wednesday was a massive 59-point game from Giannis Antetokounmpo and surviving a wild end to regulation time for the Bucks to win in overtime.

Antetokounmpo took on the extra scoring load while Damian Lillard was still out – especially in the closing stages – and scored a season-best 59 points to take control in overtime.

It was wild how this game went into overtime. It started with a crazy broken play that included a sit-down pass from Cade Cunningham and ended with a 3-pointer by the Pistons that tied the game.

After Taurean Prince missed a 3-pointer to give the Bucks the win, the Pistons got the ball back with 1.2 seconds left and had a chance of their own. The night before in Detroit, a similar situation involved a rip screen that resulted in an alley-oop by Jalen Duran at the rim that tied the game (Then Erik Spoelstra called a timeout that the Heat didn’t have, a technical foul and the Pistons won with a free throw). The Pistons ran a variation of this play and it worked again – Ron Holland didn’t get the alley-oop, but was fouled by Antetokounmpo (it was a questionable call, but was reviewed). Then Holland missed both free throws.

That sent it to overtime, where Antetokounmpo and the Bucks took control and took the win.

The Bucks will definitely get the win.
