An Equatorial Guinea official is under investigation after over 400 explicit videos were found on his computer

Baltasar Ebang Engonga, Director General of Equatorial GuineaThe United States National Financial Investigations Agency (ANIF) is investigating him after explicit videos allegedly featuring him were discovered on his computer. The videos reportedly show Engonga in compromising situations with multiple partners, including family members and a person linked to the country’s president.
Over 400 videos were found on Engonga’s computer showing him engaging in intimate acts with numerous partners in various locations, including his office, hotels and public toilets.
When the videos were discovered, authorities initially investigated Engonga for fraud. The Attorney General’s Office, led by Anatolio Nzang Nguema, is now investigating how the videos were leaked and whether Engonga’s actions pose a risk to public health. “If there is evidence, he could face charges of endangering public health,” said a spokesman for the Attorney General’s Office, according to media reports.
People reportedly appear in the videos, including the official’s brother’s wife, a cousin and a relative of the president of Equatorial Guinea. While all encounters were reportedly consensual, the content sparked debate on social media.

The scandal has caused widespread controversy in Equatorial Guinea, prompting a response from Vice President Teodoro Nguema. In a post on social media platform He added that stricter controls would be introduced and that officials found violating these rules could face dismissal.

Engonga, married with six children, is a prominent figure at ANIF and is responsible for investigating financial crimes and fighting corruption. The leaked videos have cast a shadow over his professional life and sparked public debate about the behavior of public officials.
