The 1.93 meter tall shooting guard is one of the top 10 in the 2025 class 247Composite sports rankings. He also received offers from Alabama, Kansas, Connecticut, Kentucky, Michigan and several other schools.

Adam Finkelstein, director of scouting, praised Thomas’ natural talent and noted that he stands out among the top young prospects in 2025.

“He is extremely confident and assertive and plays with a high-scoring mentality,” Finkelstein said. “He is a tough shot shooter and taker, with the versatility to shoot off the dribble, reach, create space for rebounds or create runners in a crowded lane.”

According to Hawg Sports’ Connor Goodson, Calipari has made it clear for years that Thomas was a top priority in recruiting – a commitment Thomas factored into his decision.

“He has been visiting me regularly since the eighth and ninth grades. When a coach of that caliber comes to you very young, you say, ‘Watch out for this,'” Thomas said, according to Goodson. “His track record says it all. I always try to keep up with his players and the ones he puts in the league, but it’s just like every year he has more and more.”

Until then, Thomas will continue to make a splash in his senior season with Overtime Elite.
