According to the leak, the first expansion of the Pokémon trading card game Pocket will be released at the end of January

According to a new leak, hit smartphone app Pokémon TCG Pocket will add its first major expansion with new cards at the end of January.

A datamine of the game’s event schedule published by Centro Leaks suggests that the game’s currently unnamed first expansion will launch on January 29th – with the caveat that final dates are still subject to change.

This current plan would mean there’s a window of about three months between the release of the Pocket Pokémon Trading Card Game and the arrival of a flood of new cards – which feels about right?

Pokémon TCG Pocket appears to be off to a great start, with the game earning $12 million in its first four days and more than 30 million downloads after a week.
