Alexandra Daddario sells treehouse-inspired mid-century modern gem for $2.9 million

A year and a half after buying their midcentury modern home in LA, new parents Alexandra Daddario and Andrew Form have parted ways. As Mansion Global reports, the White lotus Star and her film producer husband, who welcomed their first baby on Halloween, made the stylishly renovated Mandeville Canyon home available in August. It officially changed hands earlier this week for $2.9 million.

Daddario and Form purchased the treehouse-inspired estate, built in 1959 by surfer and architect Matt Kivlin, in May 2023 for $2.8 million. The previous owners were documentary filmmaker Lacey Uhlemeyer and her husband Rendell Johnson, who welcomed her ADVERTISEMENTThe cameras are ready for a tour. The 2022 feature highlights the transformative renovations the duo undertook in collaboration with designer Claire Thomas. They tried to restore the home to its mid-century glory after a dated 1980s renovation. Uhlemeyer said ADVERTISEMENT that the home’s beautiful original design still shined through, which is what ultimately attracted them to the property. “What I saw beyond the chocolate-colored ceilings and stone-tiled bathrooms was a very special treehouse with post-and-beam architecture and floor-to-ceiling windows that invited beautiful, sheltered views of the canyon,” she said.

A loft area with 1960s-style green shaggy carpet, bare wood beams, and a serene green master bathroom with a Japanese-inspired hammered copper soaking tub are preserved, as shown in the listing photos. A wrap-around veranda equipped for al fresco dining, a sauna and a cold bath round out the amenities in the tree-lined garden.
