Argument between Northglenn partygoers sparked deadly Halloween shooting

Three people were killed and three others were hospitalized in a shooting sparked by an argument between partygoers at a Halloween house party in Northglenn last week, police said.

The three victims injured at the party are expected to survive, the Northglenn Police Department said in an update Tuesday.

None of the partygoers killed in the shooting have been publicly identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

Northglenn officers responded to reports of shots fired at a home near Belford Drive and Bruce Lane at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, police spokesman James Burlison said.

When officers arrived, they found one person dead at the scene and five other people injured, Burlison said. Two of the five people taken to hospital later died from their injuries.

Police said investigators believe an argument between partygoers quickly escalated and several people drew their weapons, leading to a shooting.
