Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo say their coordinated “evil” looks were a coincidence

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are taking the red carpet by storm with her Evil-inspired looks at the musical film’s release later this month.

However, if you thought the entire coordination process required careful calculations, think again.

In an interview with content creator @aichark published on November 7, Grande, 31, and Erivo, 37, revealed that many of their complementary ensembles, inspired by their characters Glinda and Elphaba, were actually not planned in advance – the stars simply were synchronous. And this has been the case since “day one”.

“On our first day of rehearsal we are both wearing Balenciaga hoodies. “Mine was pink and said ‘gay’ and hers was black and said ‘Balenciaga,'” Grande revealed.

The actresses – who also have matching “For Good” tattoos – also revealed that many of the outfits they wore in their recent appearances together were unorganized, including the time they were both on March 10 and then a bit Oz brought to the 2024 Oscars at the 2024 Olympics on July 16.

“It’s never really planned. It is never planned. We just show up and that’s exactly what happens,” Erivo said.

Grande couldn’t help but call her sync “kismet.”

They also revealed that, without knowing what each other was wearing, they accessorized their outfits for the Sydney premiere on November 3 with animal-inspired necklaces and rings. Grande wore butterfly pieces by Lorraine Schwartz and Erivo wore lion pendants by Roberto Coin.

“We just decided to keep surprising each other,” Erivo said.

Indeed, fans are in for many more surprises as the co-stars continue to make their magic on the film’s press tour, where Grande was last seen at the Mexico premiere on November 11 in a dazzling pink Versace gown and Erivo in a stunning black Thom Browne design could be seen.
