Bronx man killed in car crash on Nassau Expressway in Springfield Gardens: NYPD – QNS

A Bronx man died in a horrific accident on the Nassau Expressway near JFK Airport early Wednesday morning.

Police from the 113th Precinct in Jamaica responded to a 911 call about a vehicle collision near Exit 3 of the Nassau Expressway where they found the 25-year-old motorist had been ejected from his BMW. EMS responded to the scene and quickly transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He was later identified as Andre A. Beadle of Mickel Avenue in the Pelham Gardens section of the Bronx.

Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad revealed that Beadle was behind the wheel of a 2023 BMW sedan that was traveling east on the Nassau Expressway in Springfield Gardens at approximately 1:12 a.m. He was driving in the left lane at high speed. Beadle lost control of his vehicle near Exit 3 to North Hangar Road and turned right, causing the BMW to go off the right side of the road and onto the right shoulder, striking a metal pole.

The impact caused the vehicle to spin across the earthbound lanes back onto the left shoulder, where it overturned, ejecting Beadle from the vehicle. No other injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

The investigation by the NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad is ongoing.
