Carl Froch takes a U-turn on his Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson prediction: ‘One-sided wheeze’

Carl Froch has changed his stance when it comes to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson.

Paul and Tyson will face off on Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, engaging in eight two-minute rounds in a contest that will be broadcast live on Netflix.

It’s a showdown that is dividing opinion within the sport because of the huge age difference between the fighters and because “Iron Mike” hasn’t fought professionally since 2005.

Former unified super middleweight world champion Froch didn’t hesitate when asked about his prediction for the fight last year and confidently sided with one man when speaking to OLBG.

“Mike Tyson would really knock him out. Dangerous move for Jake Paul, he’s absolutely useless, I didn’t know he was still fighting!”

However, with just a few days until the showdown, Froch has now made a U-turn and revealed on his YouTube channel “Froch On Fighting” that he now believes “The Problem Child” will win.

“Mike Tyson shouldn’t be in there with a young man. When he falls unconscious and seriously injures himself, he is knocked out by a guy who used to be a TikTok dancer who can’t box. Does Mike Tyson really have to step in with Jake Paul? It’s a shame it’s come to this.

“It would be fantastic if Tyson went in there, shouted at him and landed a few shots, but the reality is I don’t think he will be allowed to catch him.

“I think it will be a one-sided tussle and Jake Paul will beat him in four or five rounds while Mike Tyson will be completely exhausted and probably fall over.”

All will be revealed when the fight takes place on Friday and boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya summed up Paul’s skills ahead of the fight in just four words.
