Champaign County Crime Stoppers | Police looking for suspect for burglary and credit card fraud | News

CHAMPAIGN – Champaign County Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who spent nearly $1,000 on stolen debit and credit cards.

On October 20th between 2 and 6 p.m., an unknown person stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in a driveway.

The suspect used cards from the wallet to make purchases in person and online at Dick’s House of Sport, JD Sports and Nike.

Police are searching for the identity of a suspect captured on video. The person appeared to be a black male, approximately 18 to 24 years old, with his hair styled in curls. He wore a black Nike sweatshirt with an orange-blue Nike logo and light gray distressed jeans.
