Check out these snow totals for Colorado and the weather forecast for Fort Collins

As the National Weather Service in Boulder put it in a post on X: “The yellow ball returns!” Sunday after days of cloudy, cold weather and impressive amounts of snow in places.

Although less than 2 inches of snow fell in Fort Collins this weekend, several areas of Colorado saw impressive amounts of snow.

Here’s a look.

Look at these snow amounts in Colorado

The highest snowfall total reported was 54.9 inches just after noon on November 9th at a location 7 miles northwest of San Isabel (southwest of Pueblo).

In the Fort Collins area, the highest reported snowfall amount was 12.2 inches at 7 a.m. Nov. 9 at a location about 3 miles north-northwest of Horestooth Mountain.

The snowfall amounts listed below were reported to the National Weather Service on November 9th. There were multiple reports for some areas.

Larimer and Weld counties

  • Fort Collins: 1 to 1.9 inches
  • Loveland: 1.7 to 2.7 inches
  • Estes Park: 4.6 to 7.3 inches
  • Wellington: 1.1 inches
  • Berthoud: 1 to 5.8 inches
  • Greeley: 2.8 to 5.3 inches
  • Windsor: 1 to 6.2 inches

Denver and surrounding areas:

  • Denver: 8 to 16.4 inches
  • Denver International Airport: 20 inches
  • Boulder: 5.5 to 12.9 inches
  • Longmont: 2.6 to 5.8 inches

Ski resorts and mountains in Colorado:

  • Winter park: 7 inches (reported November 9th at 12 p.m.)
  • Vail: 1.2 inches
  • Loveland Pass: 6 inches (reported November 9th at 12 p.m.)
  • Berthoud Pass: 6 inches (reported November 9th at 12 p.m.)
  • Kupferberg: 4 inches (reported November 9th at 12 p.m.)

Fort Collins weather forecast for Sunday, Monday

Here is the National Weather Service’s weather forecast for Fort Collins on Sunday and Monday (as of Sunday morning):

  • Sunday: Sunny and high temperatures around 59 degrees. The forecast low for Sunday evening is around 30.
  • Monday (Veterans Day): Another sunny day. Maximum temperature near 56°C. Patchy fog will roll in overnight (after 1am), with a low temperature around 29°C.
