Season Series: First Meeting; The Bulls went 3-1 last season

The Bulls lost their fourth straight game on Thursday, falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves 135-119. As a 9.5-point home underdog, Chicago failed to cover and the over (227) hit. It was the second time in three games that the Bulls allowed 135 points, a tough hole to dig out of. G Coby White (24 points, 8 assists) and C Nikola Vucevic (25 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists) led Chicago in scoring.

Bulls at Hawks tips and predictions

forecast

Bulls 122, Hawks 118

Money line

HAPPEN.

I believe the Bulls (+125) will win as they are rested and the Hawks are back in a row after a tough loss. However, I avoid the moneyline and instead play it safe with the spread.

Against the spread

BET BULLS +2.5 (-105).

The Bulls have won 6 of their last 10 meetings, going 7-3 ATS. However, without LaVine, who usually benefits from G., it will be more difficult to cover the spread Josh Giddey‘s assists. Still, Giddey has been relentless offensively and will likely continue to lead his team effectively.

The Hawks looked strong in their last win, and with No. 1 pick F Zacharie Risacher While they may live up to expectations, their potent offense will be difficult to stop. Still, the Bulls have had success of late, and Atlanta is struggling in back-to-back games after failing to cover on the second night of the last two games. Despite the Hawks’ goal advantage, we’ll bet on the Bulls to cover.

Over/Under

BET OVER 237.5 (-110).

Both Atlanta and Chicago play an up-tempo style, with the Hawks in the top 10 in scoring (115.9 PPG) and the Bulls in the top 15 (113.7 PPG). Both teams are also in the top 5 in terms of ball possessions per game.

The total was exceeded in two of the last three meetings. Additionally, the point total reached the over in 5 of Atlanta’s last 6 home games and 4 of Chicago’s last 5 away games. Based on these trends, I expect this game to take place on Saturday.
